Until recently, human history was widely based on paper. From papyrus and rice paper to the classic A4 sheet for our documents, maps and letters - paper was the primary cultural medium for centuries.
Unfold Memo is an acoustic wall panel inspired by the light and shadowplay of an unfolded piece of paper. The geometric lines of mountain and valley folds result in a softly curved surface. The design reveals its charm in the interaction with light. The appearance subtly changes with different incidence angles upon shifting daylight or illumination.
„Unfold“, besides its physical meaning, can also indicate development, evolution or flourishment.
The material for the panel is sourced from recycled textile leftovers resulting from cutting patterns. The processed fibres generate an excellent sound absorption performance, covering the acoustic spectrum from high to low frequencies.
Unfold is designed to be aligned and arranged in multiples or hung individually. Wall mounting is made easy with an intelligent magnet system on the back of the panel. Optional coloured or anodised aluminium frames accentuate the poetic serenity of the panel.
